Malaysian fan: ‘Maxine should have used Duterte to answer Miss U question’

When the Philippines’ bet to the Miss Universe pageant failed to make it to the finals, fans were quick to blame her poor answer to the question on the biggest change she has seen in last 10 years.

But days after the “most beautiful day in the universe,” fans are still talking about the outcome of the pageant.

A Malaysian fan suggested that Maxine Medina should have cited the presidency of President Rodrigo Duterte in her answer, then she woul have made to pageant’s top three.

In his comment in a post in the Miss Universe fan page, he said, “He is your significant change.” He then went on to claim that Malaysians “envy” Filipino for Duterte sitting as president.

As of writing, the comment has received of 400 likes and 57 replies.

During the pageant, Media said that the biggest change that she has seen in the last 10 years is the coming together of Filipinos for the pageant, which happened in the Philippines for the first time in 23 years.
