Child Fell Into A River In Cebu Amidst Floods And Thunderstorms. Must Read![UPDATED]

[UPDATE] The search for the missing child that fell off into a river in Cebu has now been stopped by the rescue teams.

CEBU, Philippines – Morning July 2, An 11 or 12 years old child, fell into a river amidst city floods and thunderstorms.

Teams were dispatched to look for the missing child after call was made to Cebu's Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) around noontime from Carcar's disaster risk reduction office.
The child had been swimming in the stream when he was carried away. Despite the fact that the downpour wasn't substantial until the evening, the province's disaster office thought the downpour had effectively made conditions along the stream perilous for swimming.

Carcar City is 42 kilometers south of Cebu City. An thunderstorm warning had been issued at 3:50 pm to incorporate Naga City, San Fernando, Carcar City, and Sibonga town.

At 4:50 pm, the issued warning had already covered Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Talisay City, Cordova and Mandaue City.
